General
The current transformer is designed for current adjustment of the load current decoupled from the thyrotakt power circuit in the range 0-5 amperes and converts it into a direct current signal in the range of 0-1 mA. The input and output circuits are electrically isolated. The output signal is proportional to the input signal. A high level of accuracy and consistency of the output signal is achieved and guaranteed by the appropriately selected, high-quality electrical-electronic components. The current transformer is designed in a compact design for installation in control cabinets or other electrical-electronic systems or assemblies. The assembly is delivered fully balanced, so it is immediately ready for installation and ready for operation, which means that the assembly and installation effort can be kept very low. The connection scheme can be found in the simplicity of the device label. The device is manufactured using SMD technology and is absolutely maintenance-free thanks to the use of high-quality components. This product hereby complies with the general protection requirements laid down in the Council Directive on the approximation of the laws on electromagnetic compatibility (89/336/EC).
Performance
The device is built into a green polyamide PA 6.6 electronics housing from the company “Phoenix Contact” and can be used for standard top-hat rail mounting. The flammability class V0 (UL94) is maintained. The electronics housing is 25 mm wide, fully equipped with 3 screw connections at the top and bottom, for the installation of a printed circuit board. The screw connections are designed for 0.2-4 [mm²] rigid and 0.2-2.5 [mm²] flexible for I = 10 [A] and U = 500 [V]. The rated cross-section refers to untreated conductors without ferrules.
